Proven Treatment Process
Our past hair removal experience with lasers and IPL has clearly demonstrated it is important to destroy both the germ cell (bulge) and hair root (bulb).
Our machine delivers a combination of yellow and red light combined with DPT (Dual Phase Technology) to destroy both structures and increase the efficiency and results.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it painful and what can I expect from a treatment?
Medical Grade IPL and Laser machines are like computers that they are forever evolving. With the latest in Medical Technology the procedure is very comfortable. Most people find some level of discomfort similar to a flick from a small elastic band on the skin.
Comfort levels are improved by the cooling system built into the hand piece. Mild redness may occur on the treated area but this will only last for a short period of time.
The procedure is quick, safe and can be performed in your lunch hour.
How long does it last?
Clinical studies have proven that IPL/Laser technology is effective in permanently reducing hair growth. It is a gradual process but once the hair follicle has been treated it should not re grow. A ‘top up’ treatment is suggested once or twice a year afterwards.
How many treatments are required for permanent hair reduction?
Research indicates that between 20% and 30% of hairs are in the Anagen or ‘growth’ stage at any one time. As a result multiple treatments are required.
The actual number varies between individual but our experience indicates that a minimum of five to nine hair removal treatments are usually required spread six to eight weeks apart.
How much does it cost?

Treatment cost depends on the areas treated and number of treatments required.
It also depends whether you purchase a package of five up front or choose to pay each time.
Call us and our friendly staff will be more than happy to quote over the phone. Having said that, it would be advisable to book in for FREE consultation as everyone is unique and different in size, hair growth and colour.
Over time compared to a lifetime of waxing or electrolysis treatment, IPL/Laser hair removal can be more cost effective and certainly achieves faster and more permanent results.
Is it suitable for everyone?
Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is also not suitable for grey, blonde or very light ginger hairs.
Just to be safe, you should also avoid tanning or spray tans for a period of two weeks before and a couple of days after treatment. We recommend our SPF 30+ which has invisible zinc, light and non greasy.
Do you do Male Brazilians?
Yes, of course we do. Men are welcome, as with women, men are to shave the area before treatment.
What do I need to do in terms of preparation before a treatment?

- Avoid sun and UV exposure for at least two weeks before treatment.
- Use sun block with a protection of SPF factor 30+ or greater when exposed to sunlight.
- Do not use self tanning products two weeks before a treatment.
- Shave treatment area/s on the day of the treatment or the day before.
- Shower or bath before treatment for hygienic purposes.
